Step into a pivotal role as a Special Education Coordinator/Instructional Coach, contributing your expertise to strengthen special education programs for students. In this full-time contract position, you will champion the delivery of high-quality instruction, ensure regulatory compliance, and empower fellow educators to create meaningful learning experiences. The position is available immediately and extends through May 27, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with qualifying endorsement(s).
• At least three years of experience working in Special Education.
• In-depth knowledge of state and federal special education regulations and procedures.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation of special education programming within assigned schools, serving as both instructional leader and compliance facilitator.
• Collaborate with building administrators, general education coaches, and district leadership to broaden inclusive practices.
• Facilitate and ensure accuracy of Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and documentation.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development to special education staff.
• Regularly analyze data to inform improvements and drive student success.
• Support the expansion of the continuum of services for students with disabilities throughout the district.
