Physical Therapist - School Setting in Arlington Heights, IL

Embark on a rewarding contract position as a Physical Therapist supporting students across four school buildings in a vibrant community near Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time opportunity spans the entire school year, making a meaningful difference in the lives of approximately 20 students housed in both elementary and middle school settings. With small caseloads in each building, you will have the chance to personalize your approach and provide dedicated, impactful care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program and current state licensure
• Previous experience in a school-based PT role highly preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and education teams
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
• Flexibility and strong organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services to students with varying needs across two elementary and two middle schools
• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation for all services provided
• Collaborate with other educational professionals, including teachers and support staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for adaptations within the classroom setting
• Communicate progress and updates to families and relevant team members

This role features regular hours with elementary schools scheduled from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and middle schools from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, supporting a balanced workday with evenings free.
