Step into a pivotal role as an Early Childhood Special Education Supervisor, shaping the landscape of early intervention and support programs for young learners. This full-time contract position runs from ASAP through May 27, 2027, and offers you the opportunity to foster collaboration among staff, families, and the wider school community, all while making a lasting difference in the lives of children.

Ideal candidates will bring a blend of expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of early childhood educational standards and special education processes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in early childhood classroom or program settings
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in early childhood education or child development
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with necessary administrative endorsements
  • Solid understanding of Illinois Early Learning Standards and ISBE guidelines
  • Proven experience facilitating meetings and supporting Early Intervention processes
  • Outstanding leadership skills, including staff supervision and professional development
  • Strong ability to communicate with parents, staff, and community partners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support early childhood special education programs and teams
  • Coordinate Early Intervention services and ensure compliance with state and local guidelines
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with staff, parents, and external providers
  • Oversee program development, curriculum implementation, and adherence to best practices
  • Provide staff training and mentorship, promoting a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Serve as a key liaison between the school and families, advocating for children’s needs
