Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with a Special Education endorsement.
• Experience working with students who have mild to moderate learning disabilities is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and legal requirements related to special education.
• Ability to establish rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications that align with each student’s IEP.
• Assess students’ progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Work alongside general education teachers and support staff to promote student inclusion.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all state and federal special education requirements.
