Special Education Teacher | Arlington, Tennessee

Qualifications include:

• Active Tennessee Teaching License
• 105 or 461 endorsement required
• CDC certification
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher at the high school level preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, individualized education plans, and instructional strategies
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Key responsibilities:

• Provide targeted instruction and support for high school students in a Comprehensive Day Class
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods for diverse learning needs
• Partner with general education staff, support professionals, and families to ensure student progress
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with state regulations
