Job Description

What You’ll Need:
- Valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) certification
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
- Adaptability and creativity in supporting diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver lesson plans tailored to meet IEP goals and instructional needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to monitor progress
- Create an engaging, supportive atmosphere for students with a variety of learning abilities
- Track and document student progress, providing regular updates to families and other stakeholders
- Foster positive relationships with students, celebrating both their big milestones and daily achievements
- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences
