Step into a rewarding role where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist can transform the high school experience for students with complex needs. This contract opportunity in a supportive school environment runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, working 37.5 hours weekly from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff, promoting independence and skill development for students in grades 9–12.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in Illinois
  • Background in school-based OT, preferably with high school students
  • Experience supporting diverse learners with complex needs
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with IEP development and execution
  • Compassion, adaptability, and a student-centered mindset

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative OT services to a caseload of approximately 18 high school students
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions for students across grades 9–12
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP reviews and goal setting
  • Complete thorough documentation and maintain records in accordance with state and district guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
  • Support students in developing fine motor skills, self-care, and academic participation
