Step into a pivotal role this upcoming school year supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant elementary school setting. Travel professionals passionate about making a difference will find this full-time opportunity immensely rewarding, working from late August through mid-June. With a specific focus on resource support, you’ll provide specialized instruction to help students with unique learning needs reach their fullest potential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education teaching license and appropriate certification for Washington State.
  • Commitment to obtaining (or already possess) fingerprint clearance through OSPI.
  • Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • A passion for inclusive education and the ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff, families, and students.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons to students on your LRC1 caseload.
  • Create and update IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and participation.
  • Communicate regularly with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure a cohesive support network for each child.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development to enhance your instructional skills.

This contract position offers the excitement of working in a well-respected school with ample opportunity to make an impact. The assignment runs from August 26, 2026, through June 17, 2027, for a full 37.5-hour workweek.
