School Speech Language Pathologist - Federalsburg, Maryland

This contract opportunity offers a rewarding position supporting students at a high school and career center, with one dedicated day each week at an elementary school, providing a well-rounded experience with a diverse caseload.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold an active Maryland SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Previous experience or familiarity with school-based SLP services
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families

Primary Duties:

• Provide assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention for students with speech, language, communication, and related disorders
• Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Deliver direct and consultative services at both the high school/career center and during your day at the elementary school
• Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with state and federal educational requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and other school-based events as needed
• Educate and collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success

This full-time contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule with 37.5 hours per week, beginning August 24, 2026, and running through June 10, 2027. You’ll have the satisfaction of working in multiple school settings, fostering language and communication growth in students from elementary through high school.
