Special Education Teacher in Bluffton, SC

This contract opportunity offers three positions supporting elementary, high school, and middle school students in resource and intensive support settings from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027. You’ll work onsite, collaborating with colleagues and families to foster an inclusive, supportive educational experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification required
• Previous experience working with students with varying needs in inclusive or specialized settings
• Strong knowledge of IEP process, compliance documentation, and differentiated instruction
• Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff across age groups and abilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Adaptability and a positive attitude when working in diverse environments

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instructional support in elementary, middle, or high school resource or intensive environments
• Develop and implement effective, individualized education plans (IEPs) reflecting student goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to create a cohesive learning environment
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and monitor for growth and achievement
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages independence, inclusion, and confidence
• Address behavioral and academic challenges using evidence-based strategies
• Communicate regularly with families and guardians regarding student progress and classroom events
