Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Demonstrated experience in K-12 special education (elementary or secondary)
- Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs), adapting curriculum, and diverse instructional methods
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Flexibility to work in intensive support or supplemental resource settings
- Ability to maintain accurate records and track student progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with varying needs in onsite classroom settings
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support personnel
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment
- Utilize progress monitoring to inform and adapt instructional strategies
- Engage in regular communication with families and participate in IEP meetings
- Fulfill contract hours and assigned duties onsite throughout the school year
