Job Description
Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated Special Education Teacher across K-2 and high school resource settings. Work closely with a small group of students and an engaged team of professionals in vibrant school communities. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state Special Education Teaching certification required.
- Experience working in special education with a range of exceptionalities.
- Comfortable in both K-2 multi-categorical and high school resource environments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with paraprofessionals and classroom staff.
- Ability to adapt instruction and interventions to individual student needs.
- Flexibility regarding case load as numbers are subject to assignment.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver instruction and support within a K-2 multi-cat classroom (6-7 students, 1 teacher, 2 paras) from 7:15 AM–2:45 PM.
- Provide high school resource services at the academic seminar level, including push-in support, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and school staff to create positive, inclusive learning environments.
- Implement IEPs, track progress, and participate in meetings as needed.
- Foster academic, social, and emotional growth with evidence-based strategies.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with families and stakeholders.
