Special Education Teacher | New Oxford, Pennsylvania

The contract spans from August 2026 through June 2027, with hours scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:45 am – 3:15 pm.

What You’ll Need:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education
• Proven experience teaching or supporting students with autism or similar learning needs
• Up-to-date Pennsylvania clearances (or willingness to secure them promptly)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Adaptable approach to instructional methods, as the assignment or room may shift
• Collaborative attitude for working alongside fellow educators and support staff

Your Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver individualized and group instruction for students in Autistic Support settings
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s goals and abilities
• Monitor progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate actively in team meetings
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members regarding student growth
• Participate in pre-service trainings as required by the Intermediate Unit
