Special Education Teacher - Dover, Pennsylvania

Make an impact supporting students at a dynamic learning center as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year! Seeking two dedicated professionals to teach in Autistic Support classrooms onsite, Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:45am-3:15pm. Roles are available from August 2026 through June 2027. There may be future opportunities for different classroom assignments as needs evolve. Start as soon as all necessary Pennsylvania clearances are complete and required introductory trainings are finished.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and current Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education
• Previous classroom experience or student teaching in special education, ideally within autistic support or similar settings
• In-depth understanding of IEP development and execution
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to a wide range of learning needs and styles
• Commitment to creating a supportive, positive, and inclusive educational environment
• Up-to-date on all required Pennsylvania background checks and clearances (or willing to obtain)
• Reliable, punctual, and skilled at collaborating with educators, paraprofessionals, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality direct instruction and support to students within autistic support settings
• Develop, modify, and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s individual needs
• Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote student engagement and progress
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation
• Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom climate
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, related service providers, and families to ensure cohesive care
