Special Education Teacher - Bensalem, Pennsylvania

Make a meaningful impact by providing educational support to high school students ages 16-21 as a Special Education Teacher in the greater Philadelphia area. This contract position follows a 10-month school calendar, offering the opportunity to work full-time in a supportive and collaborative environment dedicated to making a difference in students’ lives.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience teaching or supporting high school-aged students with special needs
• Strong knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to manage and implement them effectively
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to promote student growth and inclusion
• Commitment to creating a positive, engaging, and adaptive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support to high school students with diverse learning needs, ages 16-21
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized goals and accommodations as outlined in each student’s IEP
• Assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies to maximize learning outcomes
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress with parents and guardians
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and relevant school events
