Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate is required
- Ability to complete and submit all mandatory Pennsylvania clearances before your start date
- Willingness to participate in all IU-assigned pre-training
- Experience working within special education or with students with autism is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs) specifically for students on the autism spectrum
- Provide direct instruction and classroom support, employing evidence-based strategies for engagement and growth
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Collaborate closely with related service personnel, families, and other educators
- Monitor progress, collect data, and adjust supports or interventions as necessary
- Maintain compliance with state and federal education standards
