Position Details:
- Full-time, onsite roles for the academic year (August 17 through June 4)
- Servicing schools in a supportive district community
- Two positions available:
- Middle school role (Oakdale Middle): Teach and nurture 15 students in the Learning for Life program, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
- Elementary role (site to be announced): Guide a caseload of 10 students in a self-contained setting, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:30 PM
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher appropriate to the assigned age group
- Experience working in special education settings (middle and/or elementary)
- Strong skills in individualized instruction, classroom management, and IEP implementation
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging classroom culture
- Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lessons tailored to student abilities and IEP goals
- Track progress and provide detailed reports on student achievement
- Collaborate closely with other educators, support staff, and families
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support both academic and behavioral growth
- Create a safe, positive, and adaptive learning environment
