Key Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education is required
• Experience or strong interest working with students with autism or related disabilities preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Ability to quickly secure all required PA clearances and attend pre-service trainings
• Commitment to maintaining a nurturing, structured classroom for diverse learners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in accordance with student IEPs within an autistic support classroom setting
• Collaborate with allied professionals, families, and support staff to maximize student progress
• Create and maintain detailed educational records and documentation on student performance
• Employ evidence-based strategies and adaptations tailored to each student’s needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that supports social, emotional, and academic development
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and required pre-assignment trainings

This contract role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, and runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering the stability of a school-year schedule. The assignment begins as soon as all required clearances are completed and initial orientation is finished, allowing for an immediate start.
