Social Worker in Davison, MI

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students and staff at the elementary level in a vibrant educational setting, covering a maternity leave from the start of November through the end of December 2026. As a dedicated Social Worker, you'll work closely with two elementary schools, providing vital support and ensuring continuity of care for young learners in need of social and emotional guidance.

Your expertise will be valued as you manage an elementary caseload, collaborating with teachers, families, and school administrators to foster a nurturing environment for students’ mental and emotional health.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active licensure as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience in a school setting (elementary preferred)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of current interventions for supporting child development
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide interventions and counseling services to elementary students
• Support families and staff in developing strategies for student success
• Conduct assessments and coordinate services for students facing academic, behavioral, or socio-emotional challenges
• Document services and maintain detailed records in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Engage in regular collaboration with school staff and participate in team meetings
• Advocate for students’ needs, connecting them with additional resources as necessary
