Social Worker in Davison, MI

Seeking an experienced school-based Social Worker or Counselor with a passion for making a difference in K-12 education. This is a contract opportunity supporting general education students through Multi-Tier Systems of Support (MTSS) strategies for the 2026-2027 academic year, from August 17 to June 11. With a 35-hour workweek, you’ll play an essential role in providing intervention, case management, and collaborative support across a diverse K-12 caseload. This position is located onsite in a vibrant community near greater Flint, with openings also in Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling from an accredited program.
• Active Michigan licensure as a LMSW or LPC (LLMSW/LLPC considered if full licensure is in progress).
• State of Michigan approval for school social work.
• Official university transcripts required upon submission.
• Demonstrated experience in schools or related child-serving agencies preferred.
• Familiarity with MTSS frameworks, data-driven interventions, and collaborative team environments.
• Ability to work fully onsite and engage in multi-disciplinary teamwork.

Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with staff to determine and refine data collection methods to guide interventions.
• Provide consultation to both general and special education teachers.
• Design and implement evidence-based interventions and case management.
• Regularly participate in support team meetings, MTSS sessions, and parent conferences.
• Guide families to engage actively in their children’s education.
• Employ effective behavior management and document all student encounters as required.
• Coordinate and track student services, providing regular reporting to MTSS supervisors.
