Step into a vital role supporting students by providing dedicated social work services in a dynamic, supportive school environment. Exciting full-time contract opportunities are available for school social workers with two immediate openings—one at the high school level and one serving elementary students. Both positions are onsite roles, focused on conducting evaluations and making a real difference in the daily lives of students.

The high school assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through October 9, 2026, carrying a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday. The elementary caseload begins August 31, 2026, and ends September 30, 2026, also at 35 hours weekly. There is a potential for either contract to be extended, offering additional continuity and professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Connecticut DPH and CT (071) School Social Worker certification required
  • Demonstrated school-based social work experience
  • Comfortable with short-term, leave-based contracts
  • Skilled at primarily conducting student evaluations
  • Ready to work fully onsite—virtual services are not permitted at this time
  • Strong communication and rapport-building abilities
  • Professional adaptability and team-oriented mindset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying a caseload of high school or elementary students, ensuring necessary evaluations are completed
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams to provide comprehensive support
  • Documenting and communicating findings to educators and families
  • Addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
  • Supporting a positive school climate and student well-being

This is a unique chance to work in a collaborative, mission-driven educational setting. Interviews will be held via Zoom for convenience and expedience.

If you possess a current Connecticut social work license/certification and thrive in fast-paced, impactful roles, you’re encouraged to submit your credentials immediately. Apply now to contribute your expertise where it counts most—helping students achieve their full potential.

Compensation for this position ranges from $32.57 to $52.57. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
