Special Education Teacher in Dearborn, MI

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with a Special Education (SPED) endorsement.
• Experience collaborating with students who have mild to moderate learning needs preferred.
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and ability to document, implement, and evaluate student plans.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, inclusive instruction tailored to students with unique educational requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to support student success.
• Adapt curriculum and instruction for student growth while providing a safe, supportive classroom environment.
• Assess students’ academic and functional development to inform instruction and drive improvement.

This contract runs from late August through June, offering the opportunity to work in person during the school year.
