Special Education Teacher in Westerville, OH

An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated Special Education professional to serve as an Intervention Specialist supporting kindergarten students. This full-time contract position runs through May 27, 2027, providing a consistent schedule and the chance to make a significant impact during these foundational educational years.

You'll play a key role in providing personalized instruction and support in both resource room and inclusive classroom environments. Your expertise will be valued as you collaborate with staff, contribute to IEP development, and address the unique needs of students with multiple disabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Hold an active, valid Ohio certificate/license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate).
• Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse needs and multiple disabilities.
• Comfortable with resource room, small group tutoring, and inclusion models.
• Skilled in collaborating with other staff members to develop inclusive strategies.
• Competence in accessing and writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted instruction and interventions to kindergarten students in both individual and group settings.
• Adapt instructional methods for a variety of learning styles and needs.
• Develop and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to best serve each student.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
