You’ll be working full-time, engaging with two unique caseloads—one focused on students with multiple disabilities and the other supporting those with emotional disabilities—at a welcoming school community.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience teaching students with multiple disabilities (including autism, non-verbal, and physical impairments) is highly preferred
- Background in managing classrooms for students with emotional disturbances, including implementing BIPS, social-emotional curriculum, and crisis intervention strategies
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and parents
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet a wide range of learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and goals
- Provide direct instruction and support in academic, social, and behavioral growth
- Maintain classroom structure that accommodates physical, emotional, and developmental needs
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
- Track and report student progress regularly
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, related service providers, and families
- Manage classroom materials, resources, and daily schedules across one building
