Key Qualifications:
- Current Special Education teaching certification (Intervention Specialist license strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated experience working with middle school-aged children in a special education setting
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP development, management, and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families, fellow educators, and support staff
- Dedication to upholding best practices in individualized instruction and behavioral management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction to a caseload of 16 middle school students with varying needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Work closely with general education teachers to modify curriculum and deliver inclusive support
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Foster a supportive, encouraging classroom culture where all students feel valued
