Special Education Teacher in Westerville, OH

This contract position, located near Westerville, OH, offers the chance to support students ages 12–14 within one school site, working closely with a caseload of 16 students throughout the academic year.

Position Details:

• Contract duration: August 12, 2026 – June 1, 2027
• Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Single-site placement with a focused, manageable caseload

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist K-12 Mild/Moderate License or Alternative Intervention Specialist License
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in serving middle school students
• Ability to collaborate and co-plan curriculum with other educators, particularly in grades 7/8 Math and English
• Strong organizational skills to maintain thorough documentation and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction according to each student’s IEP
• Collaborate with Math and English teachers to co-plan and co-serve students
• Write, attend, and lead IEP meetings for assigned students, ensuring all compliance and documentation requirements are met
• Engage in regular progress monitoring and data tracking of IEP goals
• Maintain robust communication with parents and guardians
• Participate in ongoing educational activities and general teacher responsibilities as assigned
