Special Education Teacher in Westerville, OH

You’ll be vital in promoting student success through specialized instruction and collaboration with a committed educational team.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Hold a valid and active Ohio certificate/license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate).
• Demonstrated proficiency in both resource room and inclusion models, as well as small group instruction and tutoring.
• Experience serving students with multiple disabilities and an understanding of diverse student populations.
• Ability to effectively develop, write, and access Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Flexible, collaborative, and communicative approach.
• Dedicated to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment for every learner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to Kindergarten students, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to implement IEPs effectively.
• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth within both resource and inclusive classroom settings.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, progress reports, and IEP updates.
• Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere, addressing a wide range of student abilities and backgrounds.
