Step into a rewarding contract opportunity making a direct impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher. This onsite role begins September 15, 2026, and continues through December 18, 2026, offering a supportive environment as you cover FMLA leave across all age groups. Desired Qualifications:

  • Active and current Connecticut Special Education (SPED) Teacher License
  • All state-required certifications for special education teachers
  • Previous experience in a classroom, resource room, or special education setting
  • Ability to adapt instruction for various age groups and individual learning needs
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction in accordance with IEPs
  • Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to offer updates and support
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom culture
  • Flexibly transition between assignments or age groups as needed

This contract offers consistent, full-time hours (35 hours per week) and the chance to work closely with fellow educators during critical FMLA coverage.
