Special Education Teacher | Manchester, New Hampshire

A fulfilling opportunity awaits an experienced Special Education Teacher who is eager to make a difference in students’ lives. This contract position runs from August 2026 through June 2027 and is based near Manchester, NH. You will work full-time, Monday through Friday, between 32 to 37.5 hours per week, providing expert support across two school locations. The primary focus is on a manageable caseload of approximately 15 students in both a 2nd-grade and a 5th-grade setting. Your work will span direct instruction, collaboration, and key case management responsibilities.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state of New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience with elementary school-age students, particularly in grades 2 and 5, is highly desirable
• Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong organizational and communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, support staff, and educational teams
• Empathetic, flexible, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment for students with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in accordance with IEP mandates
• Manage caseload, including documentation, progress monitoring, and IEP meetings
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement accommodations and modifications
• Maintain consistent parent and stakeholder communication
• Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes student growth and success
