Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington Special Education teaching license and ESA certificate (current verification required)
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred
  • Experience working with young adults and transition classroom settings desirable
  • Availability for full-time, onsite work (37.5 hours/week) during the 2026-2027 school year
  • Willingness to complete BIE adjudication process as part of credentialing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction and support for students aged 18-22 in a transition classroom
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment tailored to young adult learners’ needs
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation
