Step into a rewarding role empowering students as a Highly-Qualified Paraprofessional! An opportunity awaits at a supportive elementary environment where you'll be pivotal in helping learners succeed every day. This contract position is set to begin in early September 2026 and continues through early December, making it a great fit if you’re ready for meaningful interaction with children and collaborative teaching teams.

What makes this opportunity unique? You'll join a close-knit staff supporting academic and social-emotional growth across several classrooms, with three immediate openings: one for a Center-Based (CB) role and two within Resource/Setting 1 & 2 environments. Setting 1/2 Paraprofessionals typically assist different grade levels throughout the school day (9:10 AM – 4:10 PM), ensuring constant variety and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet “Highly Qualified” status by ONE of the following before application:
    • Passing the MN Board Paraprofessional Certification Exam
    • Completion of at least 60 college credits with transcripts provided
  • Demonstrated passion for working with elementary students
  • Willingness to provide toileting assistance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must attach both a current resume and the appropriate Highly Qualified documentation with application

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver individualized or small group instruction
  • Support students with classroom routines, transitions, and daily academic tasks
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging atmosphere
  • Participate in activities supporting students’ social, emotional, and physical development
  • Be adaptable and proactive within a dynamic school setting

This contracted role runs Monday—Friday, 32.5 hours per week, offering a pay rate of $20 per hour. After approximately 90 days (422 hours), you'll have the opportunity to transition into a permanent role.
