Step into a rewarding contract position supporting the communication needs of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This opportunity is suited for passionate professionals ready to make a meaningful difference in school settings. With multiple openings available, full-time and part-time positions in both Onondaga and Cortland Counties offer flexibility and professional growth.

Positions include two full-time roles within a supportive 12:1:3 program, working with students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and severe multiple disabilities. Additionally, a part-time position is available (3-4 days per week) within an 8:1:1 program, focusing on students requiring behavioral support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility in New York
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but open to strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) – on-site supervision provided
  • Experience or interest in school-based settings, ASD, and students with complex communication needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Commitment to supporting students with varying levels of ability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication difficulties
  • Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to student strengths and challenges
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to foster student progress
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to support students with ASD and severe or multiple disabilities
  • Document progress and complete necessary reports in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities
