Make a meaningful impact by supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist on a contract assignment for the 2026 academic year. This rewarding position will have you working across elementary school sites in the Cheney area, with your specific locations and caseload to be determined. Daily schedules are 7 hours, with start and end times varying by building between 7:20 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., offering a degree of flexibility.

You’ll focus on conducting and assessing evaluations, carrying a caseload of elementary-aged students, and providing counseling services as needed. Your expertise will contribute to Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and the creation of tailored support plans. Regular collaboration and coordination of findings with the Special Education Team are essential aspects of the role, helping to ensure students receive the individualized support they need.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State ESA School Psychologist Certificate
  • Current, valid Washington State Driver License
  • Experience evaluating and assessing students in a school setting
  • Familiarity with FBAs, BIPs, and developing support plans
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments for elementary students
  • Provide counseling and behavioral intervention as needed
  • Develop FBAs, BIPs, and customized support plans
  • Report findings clearly and coordinate care with Special Education professionals
  • Adjust and adapt strategies based on student needs and team feedback
