Step into a vital role supporting high school students as a contract School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This full-time position, based at one dedicated high school near Spokane, WA, offers an opportunity to make a significant impact—from August 27, 2026, through June 17, 2027. You’ll provide crucial psychological services, working collaboratively with educators, families, and students in a dynamic educational environment. With typical responsibilities including 50-60 evaluations over the school year, this role balances assessment, consultation, and intervention for student success.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate required
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or closely related field
  • Previous experience as a School Psychologist, especially within high school settings, is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of evaluation tools, IEPs, behavioral interventions, and special education procedures
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills with both staff and families
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple evaluations and caseload responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological and academic evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling, intervention, and crisis support for students as needed
  • Act as a resource to teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student mental health and learning needs
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district, state, and federal regulations
