Step into a highly rewarding contract position supporting elementary students as a dedicated School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This full-time onsite opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and is based near Westland, MI. Part-time schedules may be considered for the right candidate, offering additional flexibility.

This pivotal role focuses on elementary-grade students, providing essential psychological services that foster a positive school environment and promote student success. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to help students reach their academic and social-emotional goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active, valid Michigan School Psychologist license (must be included in submittal)
  • Master’s degree in School Psychology from an accredited college or university
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to upholding ethical practice standards in school psychology
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to dynamic school environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students’ cognitive, social, and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in concert with teachers and support staff
  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students, staff, and families
  • Provide crisis intervention and behavior management strategies as needed
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support plans
  • Support teachers and school leaders with recommendations for student success and well-being
