Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and active Michigan teaching certificate with a Math Endorsement (please provide up-to-date license and certifications with your application)
  • Demonstrated experience teaching mathematics at the high school level preferred
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Passion for creating an inclusive and motivating learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support high school students in mathematics, covering required curriculum and adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs
  • Foster a positive classroom culture where respect, curiosity, and critical thinking are encouraged
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain clear records
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and support staff to maximize student achievement
  • Maintain open lines of communication with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular opportunities as required
