Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Candler, NC

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to provide per diem coverage, primarily on Fridays from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with potential additional days and vacation coverage as needed. This role supports a team consisting of one pharmacist and two technicians, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations.

Location:

• Candler, NC

Schedule:

• Fridays, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Additional days and vacation coverage as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and thoroughly
• Review and check pharmacy technician work for quality control
• Counsel patients on medication usage and provide professional advice
• Manage incoming calls, addressing patient and provider inquiries
• Administer immunizations if certified to do so

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current North Carolina pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
• Immunization certification preferred, as immunization administration may be required
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a pharmacy team
