Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This per diem pharmacist opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional ready to support pharmacy operations within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and 340B pharmacy environment. The role involves critical pharmacy functions including prescription preparation, inventory control, and compliance with state and federal regulations, utilizing Liberty RX software to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Lunch: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
- Assignment dates: October 5-9
Responsibilities include:
• Preparing and verifying prescription orders for collection or delivery
• Managing equipment and supply ordering
• Controlling and monitoring inventory levels, including controlled substances
• Ensuring compliance with best practice protocols for storage and handling of drugs
• Verifying prescription accuracy in collaboration with healthcare specialists
• Maintaining accurate records of patient data, inventory, and insurance claims
• Addressing customer requests and resolving complaints professionally
• Providing telepharmacy support as needed
• Supporting the Pharmacy Manager regarding staff and operational needs
• Ensuring all pharmacy services comply with applicable state and federal requirements
• Maintaining the overall appearance and monitoring product displays in the pharmacy
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Active Indiana Pharmacist license required
• Immunization license mandatory
• Proficiency in Liberty RX software preferred
• Spanish-speaking candidates are highly valued
