Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Flushing, NY

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks a skilled Pharmacist to work per diem in a retail pharmacy setting in Flushing, NY. The role involves providing expert pharmaceutical care and support during daytime shifts, primarily from 10:45 AM to 7:15 PM, starting October 1 and continuing on selected dates thereafter.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process prescription orders using PioneerRx software
• Assist patients with medication consultations and provide professional advice
• Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products
• Support immunization efforts, administering vaccines as qualified
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians, including providing translation assistance when needed
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid, active, and unrestricted New York State Pharmacist license
• Prior community or retail pharmacy experience is required
• Immunization certification is preferred
• Strong familiarity with PioneerRx order entry system highly desirable
• Spanish fluency is a plus; note that primary translation support is available through technician staff

Schedule:

• Per diem availability, primarily for shifts from 10:45 AM to 7:15 PM on October 1, 2, 5, and various dates moving forward
