Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Livingston, LA

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Pharmacy professionals with retail experience are sought to provide per diem pharmacist coverage at a community health center pharmacy located in Livingston, LA, just east of Baton Rouge. This opportunity involves working in a well-managed and technology-supported pharmacy environment, offering flexible hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on scheduled dates between late November and December. Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions and regulatory standards
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Utilize pharmacy systems, preferably Rx30, to manage prescriptions and records

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in Louisiana
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings, preferably part-time or per diem
• Familiarity with Rx30 pharmacy software is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a pharmacy team

Location:

• Livingston, Louisiana (easy commute if within 90 miles)
• Travel reimbursement available for candidates commuting over 50 miles with additional meal and lodging compensation for overnight stays beyond 90 miles

Schedule:

• Per diem shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on select dates between 11/20 and 12/31
