Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist | Hempstead, New York

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This per diem opportunity is seeking a skilled pharmacist with retail pharmacy experience to support day shifts from 10:45 AM to 7:15 PM starting October 1st, with additional shifts on October 2nd, 5th, and ongoing dates.

Location: Hempstead, NY
Schedule:

• Days: 10:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Selected dates initially, with potential for recurring shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions in a fast-paced retail environment
• Utilize PioneerRx software for order entry and workflow management
• Provide patient counseling and support, including immunizations if certified
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians and healthcare team
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active, unrestricted New York State Pharmacist License required
• Proven community or retail pharmacy experience is essential
• Immunization certification preferred
• Strong familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy software highly desired
• Spanish fluency is a plus but not mandatory; translation assistance will be available
