School Occupational Therapist | Canton, Michigan

Step into an impactful role this fall supporting students’ growth and development as an Occupational Therapist working with schools in the vibrant Canton, MI area. This contract opportunity runs from September through December, with the possibility of extending if a permanent hire is not selected by year-end. Help students succeed by fostering independence in school-related activities and collaborating with dedicated educators and families.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid Michigan OT license and certification
• Experience in a school-based setting, working with children ages 3-18
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to adapt therapy plans to diverse student needs and goals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for support
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in coordination with the educational team
• Deliver services both individually and in groups, focusing on practical skills for classroom participation
• Consult with teachers, families, and staff to recommend classroom strategies and modifications
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with state and school requirements
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, goal setting, and progress reviews
