Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by bringing your expertise as a school psychologist to an onsite, full-time contract role near Canton, MI for the 2026-2027 academic year. Work closely with students, families, and school teams to support educational and social-emotional success through evidence-based assessment and intervention.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Graduate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Deep knowledge of MARSE and IDEA guidelines
  • Extensive experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting standardized tests (intelligence, achievement, personality, adaptive behavior, motor skills, and behavioral scales)
  • Familiarity with eligibility determination for SLD, OHI, EI, CI, ASD, and Section 504
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and families
  • Skilled in crisis intervention, including assessments and safety planning
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and report writing abilities

Core responsibilities include:

  • Performing comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Explaining assessments and eligibility findings to families and staff members
  • Recommending and assisting with IEP goals, accommodations, and behavioral support plans
  • Providing urgent intervention and assessment in crisis situations or following impactful events
  • Participating in Student Support Teams (SSTs) to address academic, behavioral, or social-emotional needs
  • Assisting with program planning and service evaluation for data-driven decision making
  • Engaging in professional development opportunities required for student services personnel
