Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) in Michigan
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions to various student needs across all grade levels
  • Familiarity with documentation in a school environment
  • Commitment to fostering student independence, engagement, and participation

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapeutic services to students in K-12 classrooms
  • Assess and document student abilities and progress using evidence-based practice
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and support individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Offer recommendations for classroom accommodations and adaptive equipment
  • Implement interventions that promote fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
  • Participate in IEP meetings and student progress reviews
  • Maintain accurate records and timely reporting
