Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) in Michigan
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting highly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to various student needs across all grade levels
- Familiarity with documentation in a school environment
- Commitment to fostering student independence, engagement, and participation
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapeutic services to students in K-12 classrooms
- Assess and document student abilities and progress using evidence-based practice
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer recommendations for classroom accommodations and adaptive equipment
- Implement interventions that promote fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and student progress reviews
- Maintain accurate records and timely reporting
