Make an impact as a part-time Occupational Therapist supporting students from kindergarten through 8th grade. In this rewarding contract opportunity, you’ll use your skills to help approximately 18 young learners reach their highest potential both in and out of the classroom. With a focus on individualized care, you’ll be spending about 12 hours each week providing essential OT services—a great way to maintain professional flexibility while making a real difference.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with valid credentials to practice and provide therapy in school settings
- Experience working with K-8th grade students in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, teachers, families, and staff
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and customized therapy plans
- Commitment to fostering student independence, motor skills, and functional abilities within an educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to a caseload of roughly 18 students in grades K-8 according to IEP requirements
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to student support teams
- Adapt interventions for both in-class and pullout settings
