Job Description

Seeking an experienced professional to serve as a School Psychologist supporting a diverse group of students from Pre-K through 8th grade within a dynamic school district. This role is contract-based and centers on conducting evaluations, overseeing early intervention transitions, and participating in specific referral meetings, all while based out of the central district office. This position is ideal for those who thrive in an assessment-focused environment without the daily classroom management responsibilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement; candidates with pending license status will be considered for travel opportunities.
  • Proven expertise in school-based psychological evaluations and related processes.
  • Familiarity with early childhood intervention and transitions.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a district-level position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate domain meetings to coordinate student evaluations.
  • Complete all mandated psychological assessments—last year, approximately 63 were conducted.
  • Manage and oversee the Early Intervention (EI) transition process, including conducting TPBA (17 transitions in the previous year).
  • Attend MTSS referral meetings for individual students as needed.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all district procedures.
  • As the psychologist is not assigned to a specific building, regular involvement in daily student or staff support is not required.

Position Details:

  • Hours: 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Contract Position running through June 19, 2027.
  • Immediate start date available.
  • CPI training not required due to the centralized nature of the role.

If you’re ready to apply your expertise in a role focused on impactful evaluations and transitional support, submit your application today to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and families.

Compensation for this position ranges from $39.92 to $69.92. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
