This unique opportunity supports a Specialized Resource Program with a non-traditional approach, serving students in the Trumbull, CT area. The assignment’s start date, hours per week, and mode of service (virtual or in-person) will be determined, giving you flexibility as you plan your next move.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut Special Education (SPED) license is required
  • Experience working in specialized resource settings or non-traditional educational programs is highly valued
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and progress monitoring
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction aligned with IEP goals in a resource and/or non-traditional setting
  • Adapt curriculum materials and teaching techniques to meet individual student needs
  • Assess student progress and document outcomes, providing necessary support and interventions
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, service professionals, and families to ensure holistic support
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, communicating regularly with stakeholders
