School Registered Nurse | Cambridge, Massachusetts

A dedicated RN or LPN is needed to support an elementary school setting, working closely with children and school staff from August 2026 through February 2027. You’ll work independently, ensuring the health and safety of the elementary school community and becoming a trusted presence students and educators rely on.

This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, averaging 32-35 hours each week, with working hours of 8:15 am to 3:15 pm. You will work within the school calendar, enjoying summers, weekends, and holidays off.

Key Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Active and unencumbered RN or LPN license in Massachusetts
• Previous school nursing experience or a strong background in pediatric or community health nursing
• Ability to work independently and manage the health needs of elementary-aged children
• Excellent communication and care coordination skills
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• A compassionate approach and passion for supporting child development

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily healthcare needs of students and staff
• Administer medications and manage care plans for students with chronic conditions
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators regarding student health concerns
• Maintain detailed health records and communicate with families as appropriate
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and healthy school environment
