This part-time position calls for a Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) holding a Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential for California. Your expertise will be vital in providing comprehensive health services, acting as a health consultant, and developing individualized care plans that enable students to thrive academically and personally.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) license
  • Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential for California
  • Experience working with school-age children and diverse student populations
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, families, and community healthcare agencies
  • Organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing confidential information

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct health services, screenings, and assessments to students in grades K–8
  • Coordinate care for students with acute or chronic medical needs, including development and implementation of health care plans
  • Serve as a liaison between school, families, and medical providers
  • Assist with emergency preparedness and communicable disease protocols
  • Deliver health education to students and staff
  • Document services in compliance with district and state requirements

Position Details:

  • Contract assignment, August 19th to June 10th
  • Part-time (12 hours/week): One day each at two elementary schools (Corte Madera and Ormondale)
  • Working days: Tuesday and Thursday
