Bring your passion for special education to a dedicated team, making a meaningful impact in the lives of students who require an adapted curriculum. This full-time contract opportunity is set in a public separate school environment, offering the chance to provide individualized instructional and behavioral support for students who benefit from a more specialized educational approach.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching license with Adapted Curriculum certification (Strict requirement, no exceptions)
  • Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities in middle or high school settings highly desired
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instructional strategies and behavior intervention plans
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Adaptability and compassion in response to student needs within a separate school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted instruction aligned with students' IEP goals in both academic and functional areas
  • Implement and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans
  • Utilize curriculum and materials designed for students requiring adapted learning approaches
  • Maintain accurate and timely IEP documentation and progress monitoring
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Engage in ongoing communication with families, therapists, and school-based teams
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and compliance activities relevant to a separate school setting
